In de juwelencollectie van koningin Máxima is een prachtig Tutti Frutti-collier en bijpassende armbanden te vinden, geinspireerd op de bekende juwelen van het luxueuze juwelenhuis Cartier. Hoewel lang werd gedacht dat Máxima's sieraden hier vandaan kwamen, werd in 2009 bekend dat de sieraden op 13 maart 2007 door Máxima gekocht zijn via veilinghuis Christies Amsterdam. Voor een bedrag van omgerekend €26,400 wisselde het collier van eigenaar, terwijl voor de armband €24,000 werd neergelegd. Behoorlijke bedragen voor een Indiaas collier met diamant, smaragd, robijn en saffier, maar kijkend naar onderstaande beelden begrijp ik de magie van de juwelen. Wat mij betreft draagt Máxima in de toekomst de juwelen nog vaker en laat ze haar bijouterie achterwege. Met name het collier, dat tot nu toe nog maar tweemaal is gedragen, verdient wat mij betreft nog wel wat koninklijke aandacht.
We can find a beautiful Tutti Frutti necklace and matching bracelets in queen Máxima's jewelry collection, inspired by famous jewels from luxury jewelry brand Cartier. Although it was assumed for a while that Máxima got her jewels there, it became known in 2009 that she bought them on March 13, 2007 through auction house Christies in Amsterdam. For the converted amount of €26.400 the necklace changed hands, while €24.000 got filed for the bracelet. Decent amounts for an Indian necklace with diamond, emerald, ruby and sapphire, but when I take a look at the images below, I understand the magic of the jewels. In my opinion Máxima can wear these jewels more often in the future while leaving the bijouterie behind. Especially the necklace, which has only been worn twice, deserves more royal attention in my opinion.
